Alaska Pro Musica.  Innovative programming...solos, duos, and trios from Baroque to Contemporary...these musicians deliver premieres and classics with equal commitment and enthusiasm.  Selected through national searches by the University of Alaska Anchorage for their unique combination of exceptional performance and educational skills, they are equally at home performing in the concert hall, directing a master class or presenting a children's concert.  Since its inception in 1992, Alaska Pro Musica has premiered two works, and has released a CD recording, "Contrasts".  In 1994, the group performed to standing ovations in South America, and the next year, returned to perform in the "Semanas Musicales Frutillar" festival in Chile.  The critic hailed their performance as "the best midday concert" of the festival.
